Gore Bay Airport Terminal Project

Paid Work       Multidisciplinary Collaboration 2019-2021

From summer 2019 to summer 2021, While working at Gore Bay airport, I was part of a $4.2 million project to improve the airport. A large portion of this project was to build a new and improved terminal building. I worked side by side with the airport manager and the architect to take the original design through many iterations to where it currently stands.

I started by building the design in SketchUp which the structural engineer had created, and bring the building into Unreal Engine so the airport manager and Architect could better envision the design, and request changes to it. I would then take the notes from these meetings and make design changes accordingly. this process repeated for many months until we polished the design into something we felt would be a best use of funds for the project.
